PhD candidate and 5th-year Graduate Research Assistant, Alesa Netzley, was recently awarded a prestigious F99 award from the National Institutes for Neurological Disorders and Stroke. This fellowship will support Alesa for up to 2 years while completing her dissertation work characterizing the behavioral and physiological consequences of post-concussive syndrome in an adolescent minipig model of concussion. After graduation, this award will transition to a K00, providing support for Alesa through 4 years of postdoctoral training.
